Fabcoat Australia's team of expert industrial blasters and painters were contracted in April- September 2017 to set up a temporary abrasive blasting and painting site within an engineering workshop and abrasive blast and paint approximately 3000m² of structural steel, handrails and grid mesh for the BHP Olympic Dam SCM.

The blasting and painting process was very strict due to the aggressive corrosion surroundings of the platforms final destination. 

Both Fabcoat NACE Inspectors and BHP NACE inspectors inspected the blasting and painting thoroughly prior to any of the platforms leaving for site.
